Honors program

CaptureAs we near the end of Summer Quarter please pass this information on to any students who might be interested in the Honors Program at Shoreline. Shoreline has a unique cohort model that allows students to spend a year on their project and gives opportunities to work closely with faculty mentors. Attached is our beautiful new brochure and application form. Please direct any questions about the program to Terry Taylor.

The Honors Program is designed to offer a challenging curriculum for students planning to transfer to four-year institutions of higher learning or who simply wish to deepen their college experience. Students have the opportunity to work on in-depth projects in specific academic disciplines and to create a community of scholars with whom to share their ideas. The Honors Program encourages students to work closely with faculty to develop a research agenda for the one-year course of study.

The week ahead

Here is a quick look at some of the things happening on and around campus this week!

Shoreline played host to Ajou once again

Shoreline hosted students from Ajou Motor College in August 2014 as part of a cultural and knowledge exchange. See more photos of the Ajou exchange on Flicker.

Travelling more than 5,000 miles and spending two weeks on campus, students from Ajou Motor College in South Korea learned the most important parts of Shoreline Community College’s Automotive program: cars, culture, language and the Seattle Mariners.

About 20 Korean students spent the two weeks working with faculty, staff and students as a piece of the partnership between Shoreline and Ajou.
