A heads up on a couple short system outages

There will be two short system outages next Wednesday December 18th impacting on-campus services including email, VPN, file shares (H:, S:, X:, etc…), network printing, and DNS (necessary for Internet).  The outages will occur at approximately 6:00 AM and again at 6:00 PM and are not expected to exceed 10 minutes in duration.  Additionally the network in the library will be down from approximately 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.  The library will be closed so there should be no impact.  This maintenance is due to a server room power upgrade.

As part of an energy conservation improvement project, starting December 9th, the outside light pole light fixtures and the outside building wall light fixtures will be replaced with new LED light fixtures, along with replacement of the tall light poles.  The project was scheduled to minimize any impact to parking and will be completed by the end of January, 2014 if the weather cooperates.

Food drive!

Just a reminder, it’s this week only!

SCCFT is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the Puget Sound Labor Agency. Bring healthy, non-perishable foods (convenient, high-protein items are especially useful!) In lieu of food, checks can be made out to the Puget Sound Labor Agency. Look for the blue boxes in the FOSS, Admin, Library, Math/Science and Health Occupations buildings from Friday, Dec. 6, to Thursday, Dec. 12.
