Winter Closure – Comp Time Accrual Opportunities

As agreed upon in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) recently signed with the WFSE-HE related to the planned closure of our campus during the week following this year’s Christmas holiday (December 27th – 30th, 2016) classified staff are being provided with opportunities to earn compensatory (comp) time through professional development activities scheduled to occur between now through November 30, 2016 as listed below:

For the items listed above, classified staff are authorized to complete these specific training activities outside of their regular work schedules (including at home) as part of the opportunities being provided for the accrual of comp time for the campus closure.
Upon completion of each online training activity listed above, please be sure to:
- Print and submit the certificate of completion to HR
- List the additional hours worked in TLR, selecting comp time earned and including a comment as follows: “mm/dd: comp time earned for winter closure”

Here are the events happening around campus for the week of Sept. 26.

Auditions for “The Game’s Afoot,” Campus Theater (1600 bldg.)
Mon., Sept. 26: 12:30-3 p.m.
“The Game’s Afoot” will be performed December 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, & 11. Bryar Golden will direct.
Audition Dates:
Auditions will be held on September 26, 27, & 28 between 12:30-3 p.m. with callbacks being held Wed., Sept. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Come prepared to perform a short 1 to 3-minute monologue. Please, audition not to exceed 3 minutes.
TO SIGN UP FOR AN AUDITION, please go to audition page on the theater’s web page and sign up for a five-minute slot. You will receive a confirmation email confirming your audition time.
We are also looking for students who are interested in tech work to assist in the production. Students can get musical theater performance credits, drama credits, or stage technical credits. Auditions are open to the community, but everyone involved in the production must register for some type of Shoreline Community College credit.

Please join us for Party Like It’s 1975: A Campus and Community Celebration Fri., Sept. 23 from 6-9 p.m. in the PUB Main Dining Room. It’s FREE!
