DEADLINE EXTENDED: 1964 Society Faculty Professional Development Scholarship

The deadline has been extended to November 9, 2018 at 5 pm for the 1964 Society Faculty Professional Development Scholarship. The Shoreline Community College Foundation created the scholarship to provide funds in perpetuity for faculty to use toward their professional development. This scholarship will also benefit the College and students by strengthening the faculty in their various professional capacities. In certain years, this scholarship may be awarded to full-time faculty, associate faculty or faculty in specific areas of study at the discretion of the Foundation Board of Directors.

The current annual award is $1,100 and may increase over the years depending on the investment earnings. Associate faculty may apply now (details on the Foundation webpage) for the 2018-19 award.

SIFF at Shoreline through June 2: Ticket vouchers available in Foundation Office

Hoping to see a film at Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF)? Mary Brueggeman, Vice President of the Office of Advancement, Executive Director of Foundation, has ticket vouchers for many of the films, and would love to have staff utilize them. Before you purchase tickets, check with the Foundation Office to see if they have ticket vouchers available.

SIFF has returned to Shoreline’s campus for a third year, May 25 – June 2.

Film lovers and Foundation supporters will not want to miss SIFF at Shoreline 2018, presenting 25 films in the Shoreline Community College Theater. You can purchase tickets online at SIFF or from the box office at our Theater on the day of the film.

Our recently remodeled theater provides a professional-grade viewing experience. Parking is free. Concessions include fresh popcorn, candy, ice cream, beer, and wine. All proceeds benefit the Foundation’s Performing Arts and Digital Filmmaking Scholarship for our students.
