I’d like to remind you that Shoreline students have access to free online tutoring in 15 subjects through the college’s membership in the Western eTutoring Consortium. Students can chat with a tutor in real time, submit eQuestions, and submit papers to the eWriting Lab. The service, made possible through the college’s membership in the Western eTutoring Consortium, is available seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. This Flyer lists the subjects offered for eTutoring, briefly explains how the consortium works, and shows the 44 colleges and universities currently members of the consortium.
Please take a minute to check out the eTutoring site.
If you have any questions about eTutoring, please contact me. I am the campus eTutoring coordinator.
Thank you,
Grace Rhodes
Good afternoon!
I have the pleasure as Chair of the Faculty Senate of announcing two recent ascensions (nice word, no?) to the rank of Professor Emeritus. On October 23, the Faculty Senate Council voted unanimously to grant the rank to Professor Betsey Barnett upon her retirement in December 2013. On January 8th, the council voted unanimously to grant the rank to Professor Bruce Amstutz upon his upcoming retirement at the end of this quarter.
According to Policy 4722 Professor Emeritus status entitles the recipient to, amongst other privileges, the use of a shared office; full faculty privileges in the use of the library, gymnasium and other campus facilities; the use of a campus mailbox and e-mail address; and faculty parking privileges.
Congratulations to our two newest Professors Emeriti!

Alright, here’s the plan:
First, wear your Seahawks gear on Friday, Jan. 31.
Second, be at the square by the PUB at 12:30 p.m.
Third, help us raise the 12th man flag with Dolphie!
Fourth, jump in the photo!
Finally, and this should be easy, root for the Hawks on Sunday as they take on the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl! #GoHawks
