Annual FEP Training on Wed., Jan. 18

The E-Team and the Administration, with leadership from the SCCFT present, will jointly present the annual Faculty Evaluation Plan (FEP) training for the 2016-17 academic year on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 1103. This training is intended to inform new part-time and post-tenured faculty who are being evaluated, as well as designated FEP team members, about the process as described in Article XVIII of the faculty contract. Administrators and program chairs with FEP responsibilities are also encouraged to attend.

Please join us to review the faculty evaluation process for both part-time and post-tenured faculty and discuss any questions you may have. Thank you.

Global Engagement Mini-Grants for staff and faculty

International Education is excited to announce new Global Engagement Mini-Grants to advance global education and engagement at Shoreline through professional development opportunities. Examples of projects or activities include attending a global education conference, developing and designing curriculum, researching and planning a new study abroad program, or organizing community activities with a global focus.

The deadline to apply for a mini-grant is Fri., April 7. The International Program Advisory Committee (IPAC) will review proposals to select grant recipients in April and awardees will be notified in May.

All permanent Shoreline staff and faculty are welcome to apply. If you’d like to learn more, please contact Diana Sampson, Associate Vice President for International Education at dsampson@shoreline.edu.

Board of Trustees approves tenure for three faculty

Three Shoreline Community College faculty members received tenure in unanimous votes by the college Board of Trustees at their Dec. 7, 2016 regular meeting. The Board granted tenure to Alison Armstrong (Engineering), Jeff Cromwell (Automotive), and Kevin Roner (Automotive).
