After 25 years of stellar coaching, Raquel and Mark West have decided to hang it up at ShorelineCommunity College. Raquel and Mark started coaching for Shoreline in 1996 and built a program that won several Northern Region Championships. They were known throughout the NWAC Northern Region as coaches that would take less athletic talent and mold them into Champions. Raquel and Mark have shaped the lives of many student-athletes that have gone on to become successful in many walks of life.
Shoreline will forever be thankful to you for making the student experience great for so many student-athletes. “This is a bittersweet announcement, I am sorry to see Raquel and Mark West retire from coaching at Shoreline, but excited for their next volleyball endeavor which includes them operating their own gym in Mukilteo, WA, The West Family Training Center,” said Steve Eskridge, Director of Athletics.
Please join us in celebrating and thanking this dynamic duo for their outstanding contribution to the Athletic Department at Shoreline Community College for so long! Raquel and Mark’s last day at Shoreline was November 8th.
Thank you, Raquel and Mark, Go Phins!
Veterans Day Celebration in the VRC! Please join us on Wednesday, November 10, to celebrate Veterans Day and the re-opening of the Veterans Resource Center. We thank you for your service and hope you’ll join us as we acknowledge and celebrate your contributions. Coffee and light snacks will be provided.
