Students will develop technical expertise and earn certifications through a blended approach of in-class theory, hands-on labs, and self-paced learning.

Update on President Roberts

Dear Colleague,

This week I have had the opportunity to communicate with President Cheryl Roberts, who is currently on planned medical leave. I am pleased to report that her surgical procedure went as expected last Friday, and she is making steady progress toward a full recovery.

I know that many of you will want to let Cheryl know that you are thinking of her and wishing her well at this time. Although she cannot receive flowers or food, cards and notes are always welcome. The Shoreline Community College Foundation will be collecting envelopes in Suite 1005 and periodically sending them to Cheryl’s home.

Your support of President Roberts, as well as of each other, and ultimately our students, is one of the things that make Shoreline Community College an exceptional place to work. Knowing that you are focused on creating extraordinary work and learning environments will help her with a speedy recovery.

Thank you for the caring and generosity that you bring to campus every day.

Sincerely,

Stuart A.T. Trippel, CPA

Heat Advisory & Safety Tips

heat safety
With high temperatures anticipated through early next week, please keep in mind the following safety tips for dealing with the heat at work:

– Employees should make a conscious effort to ensure proper hydration and ventilation throughout the day
– Employees should take regular breaks in cooler and better-ventilated areas of campus (the PUB is recommended)
– Employees who require a temporary workstation in another building should work with their supervisor to identify options
