Part-time Faculty Professional Development Pool applications due Fri., Dec. 1

Part-time Faculty Professional Development Pool Funds Applications are due to the Office of Student Learning & Success (Rm 1003) by 5pm on Friday, December 1st.

Part-time faculty may submit an application for Professional Development Pool Funds at any time during the academic year for consideration of an initial disbursement of up to $500.00. Applications in excess of $500.00 will be reviewed after the December 1stapplication deadline and after the final deadline for applications, which is the second Friday in April, April 13th, 2018. Funds will be disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are depleted.

All requests will be evaluated by the Professional Development Funds Committee. Equal consideration will be given to any of the activities listed in the instructions for initial disbursement of funds up to $500.00.

T-Ten Program is collecting Toys for Tots donations through Nov. 30

Shoreline Community College T-TEN Program is partnering with the Marine Corps Reserve to collect donations to Toys for Tots. Between now and Thurs., Nov. 30, please bring unwrapped toys you’d like to donate to one of two collection boxes on campus: one located on the main floor of the PUB (9000) building and one housed on the main floor of the FOSS (5000) building. All Toys for Tots donations from Shoreline will be gathered by Thurs., Nov. 30 and taken to the Northwest Toy Run event held at Pacific Raceways in Kent on Sun., Dec. 3.

Please join us and other car enthusiasts at Pacific Raceways in Kent, WA on Sun., Dec. 3 from 8am-2pm for a fun day of car shows and gathering Toys for Tots!

Join Project PRIDE as we honor our fallen family. Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) is an annual observance on November 20 that honors the memory of those whose lives were lost in acts of anti-transgender violence. Mon., Nov. 20, 12:30p.m. in the PUB Lobby.

Mon., Nov. 20: 11am-1pm
College representatives from Brandman University and University of Washington-Seattle will be on Shoreline’s campus to meet with interested students. Reps will discuss topics such as academic programs, campus life, financial aid, and admission procedures for their college. They can answer other questions students may have too.

The library is hosting a writing space especially for those participating in National Novel Writing Month. We have outlets, wifi, comfy chairs, and participants can log into the computers to work on their novels.

College hours on Wed., Nov. 22

All classes on Wed., Nov. 22 will be held per usual, including evening classes. The library, safety and security, Parent-Child Center, and dental hygiene clinic will also maintain regular operating hours that day.

All other college services and offices will close at 4:30pm (as on Fridays). Extended Wednesday hours will not apply that day.

Campus and college services will remain closed Thurs., Nov. 23 and Fri., Nov. 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, and will return to normal operating hours on Mon., Nov. 27.
