CAMPUS ALERT: CAMPUS CLOSED TODAY at 3:30 PM DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER 11/30/22

Campus services (both in person and online) will close at 3:30 pm today November 30th, 2022, due to inclement weather. This morning when the decision to delay campus was made, the team was under the assumption that snow removal would be completed by 10:00 am. Unfortunately, that did not happen and we are still working on it. All evening on-campus events are canceled or moved to remote modalities. The College will continue to closely monitor weather conditions to determine campus modality for Thursday, December 1, 2022,  with an update to campus by 5:00 am. 

Supervisors should continue to work with employees who may need to head home earlier today (utilizing remote work or leave as appropriate) because of worsening conditions near their home areas. Employees should also bring home laptops, etc. Home today in the event the College moves to remote operations because of weather conditions tomorrow.

CAMPUS ALERT: CAMPUS DELAYED 2 HOURS TODAY DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER 11/30/22

Campus services and classes (both in person and online) will open late today at 10:00 am, November 30th, 2022, due to inclement weather. Employees should not report for work until 10:00 am unless designated by the College as required to do so. Should employees be unable to reach campus because of inclement weather conditions, please work with your supervisor to identify remote work or leave options as appropriate.  

Students, please check your course Canvas pages before class to know if your class will be offered remotely. 

The Childcare Center will also have a late start in alignment with the campus at 10:00 am.  Safety & Security will be available to assist the 7000 building residents as needed.

IMPORTANT – MUST READ – New information listed – see note under classified for reporting holiday hours.

All Employees:

   Absences:

  • Absences for the pay period 11/16-11/30 must be completed by 5pm on 11-30-2022
  • Supervisors must approve absences by 10am on 12-1-2022
    • When submitting the following leave types please send an email to payroll@shoreline.edu
      • Shared Leave
      • Leave without Pay

Classified and Hourly/Student Employees: 

   Timesheets:

  • Timesheets must be completed by the end of your shift on the last day of the pay period, 11-30-2022.
  • Supervisor must approve timesheets no later than 10am on the day after the pay period ends, 12-1-2022

Hourly/Student: Please submit your timesheet by 10am on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Please be sure to use the correct Time Reporting Code for your position

  • HRY for non-student hourly employees
  • STU for student hourly employees enrolled in 6 or more credits
  • STF for student hourly employees enrolled in less than 6 credits
  • FWS for federal work-study students
  • SWS for state work-study students

Classified: Please submit your timesheet by 10am on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

  • Please be sure to add HOL for Friday November 24th and 25th .  If you were required (security officers) to work on Thursday 11/24 or Friday 11/25, please use HWK,  for these days and only the hours required to work. {If you worked a partial day, enter HWK and HOL based on the actual hours worked, example 4 hours HWK and 4 hours HOL for a scheduled 8 hour day}.
  • Did you take leave during this last pay period?  Be sure to adjust your REG hours on your timesheet to reflect what hours you worked and were on leave.
  • Make sure each week equals your work schedule; 100% employee, then you should have a minimum of 40 hours posted between REG and any leave, 75% employee, then you should have a minimum of 30 hours posted between REG and any leave.  This includes any Leave without Pay posted.
  • Overtime to be charged to a budget other than the employees normal budget, please email the  combo code (not the chart string) to payroll@shoreline.edu.
  • Did you work overtime and take leave in the same week?  Please email payroll@shoreline.edu until further notice.

Faculty: Please be sure to submit your sick leave through the absence management system, by the date listed above. You do not need to submit a timesheet.

Admin Exempt: Please be sure to submit your leave through the absence management system, by the date listed above. You do not need to submit a timesheet.
