American Honda Motors (AHM) continues to show support for Shoreline Community College and its Honda PACT program through donations of specialized tools for our Honda PACT students. AHM is donating two DST-i Vehicle Communications Interface Modules in support of the program. This specialized equipment allows students to interface with operating systems through the vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostic port and diagnose vehicle malfunctions. This donation, along with several new vehicle donations, is another example of the automotive industry stepping up to support technical education.

Donate to Toys for Tots Drive, Now Through Dec., 4

toys for tots
Shoreline Community College’s Automotive programs will be collecting toys for the Toys for Tots – Northwest Toy Run event at Pacific Raceways in Kent on December 6. This event benefits Toys for Tots and helps less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of the holidays by collecting new, unwrapped toys. There is a donation box on campus next to the PUB Quiet Dining Room (9208) where the campus community can donate new, unwrapped toys between now and Fri., Dec. 4. All donations will be delivered to the event at the Pacific Raceways on Dec. 6.

Thank you in advance for your help making this holiday season one of joy for kids in need.

Reminder: Extra Traffic on Campus March 24-26 With Arrival of Vehicle Maintenance Management Conference

The Shoreline Community College Professional Automotive Training Center – Dealer Training Academy will be hosting the Vehicle Maintenance Management Conference (VMMC) March 24-26.

This is a large event that happens annually and will likely have some impact on parking around the 2100 building. We have taken steps to help lessen the impact to the campus community during the spring break and the first days of the spring quarter. Please note that there will be an increase in traffic around the 2100 building and we will be moving vehicles back to the building in a scheduled manner to help lessen the impact to students, staff and faculty.
