• On March 1, 2022, King County will end the vaccine verification requirement for entry into indoor recreational settings.  New COVID-19 cases are on the decline in our county and over 87% of King County residents over age 12 are fully vaccinated.

• COVID-19 vaccine clinic on our campus closed Wednesday, February 16^th.

A chance to ask questions and review some ctcLink basics (like how to activate your account), as well as an introduction to the new Technical Support Center. Additional ctcLink office hours have been created for support and can be viewed here. 

Our Spring Schedule will be live on or around 2/22/22 in ctcLink for students to view and plan ahead for Spring Registration. Learn about the ctcLink search features and be ready to support our students so they are ready to register when it opens in mid-March.

Shoreline Community College Men’s Soccer Team to be Reinstated for the Fall 2022 Season 

Spring quarter at Shoreline Community College begins on April 4th. Between February 14 – March 13 you can join us at one of the local events below to learn about our programs, ask questions, and get help completing your application on the spot! 

Public Libraries. Stop by and speak with a Shoreline representative at the following locations:

• Edmonds Library: Every Thursday from 11:00am – 2:00pm 
• Shoreline Library: Feb. 15th & Mar. 1st from 3:00pm – 4:00pm 

 High Schools. Students and staff can stop by to meet with a member of the SCC Outreach Team:

• Shorewood High School at the Career Center: Every Tuesday from 10:30am – 1:00pm
• Shorecrest High School at the Career Center: Every Thursday from 10:30am – 1:00pm

• Masks:  

• More KN-95 masks have been distributed to Executive Team (ET) and Student Learning, Equity, Success (SLES) members and they will be distributing them to on-campus faculty and staff in their areas who need replacements.   
• Paper bags also were distributed to assist with keeping KN-95 masks clean and dry for reuse. Per the CDC, masks can be stored in a dry, breathable bag between uses. Masks can be used until wet or dirty.  
• KN-95 masks, as well as surgical masks, are available at Welcome Desks in the 1000/Admin, 5000/FOSS, and 4000/Library buildings for those who forget their mask. 

• Vaccines: some immunocompromised individuals should receive four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, per the Washington State Department of Health.  
• Tests:  

• Federal guidelines on coverage of over-the-counter (OTC) at-home COVID-19 tests call for your health plan to cover the cost of FDA authorized OTC at-home tests without cost sharing during the public health emergency and without need for a provider’s order. The coverage started Jan. 15 and is not retroactive, meaning you will not be reimbursed for tests bought before Jan. 15.  
• The federal government is offering every home in the U.S. four free at-home OTC COVID-19 tests. To order for your household, visit the website here. 
• For the second time in less than two weeks, Washington state residents can go to www.sayyescovidhometest.org to order up to 5 free tests. Recipients will get those tests delivered at no cost, but only while supplies last. When more supplies become available, the state will open the portal again.
