BETA Launch of the New DAAG

Welcome to the BETA version of the new Day at a Glance. Here at the top of the page, you’ll find the latest announcement, current events and/or deadlines.

The menu just above this column is designed to help faculty and staff engage with, and stay abreast of, the latest discussion and developments related to major strategic initiatives of the college.

At the very top of this page, you’ll find additional menu options for the most viewed pages on the intranet as well as other useful links.

Please offer feedback by commenting on this post. Any and all constructive criticism (or praise) will be appreciated.

Please note: the comments function on this post and others is intentionally left on to promote discussion and ease of communication among faculty and staff. While this site will be visited almost exclusively by Shoreline employees, it is still a public webpage on the internet and is discoverable by search engines. This is not a private space. Therefore, please bear that in mind as you engage in discussion. Your words and tone will be representing both yourself, and the college, on the worldwide web.

  1. It’s very difficult to find the link to DAAG for people who are not on campus (i.e. Part-time faculty). Please post to the Faculty/Staff page.
Visually the page looks a little cluttered.

The technology is slick and I’m sure makes it easier for PIO to do the work of gathering news on campus.

    • Thank you for the comment Judy. Please note that if you visit any page on the intranet or “faculty/staff page” you can just click “Day at a Glance” at the top of the page or visit daag.shoreline.edu.

I would like to suggest that people be required to enter their full name when making posts OR have the option to use “anonymous” as an identity. Several people have asked me about this post from “Judy” and I have to tell them that it’s some other “Judy”, not me.

I think the new DAAG and Daryl’s blog are nice additions. And, I’m accessing them easily from off campus this summer via the daily DAAG email to the faculty list serve. And, we can also subscribe to receive notification of new posts. Thanks, PIO staff!
