On Fri., May 18, Shoreline Community College is hosting the 19th annual Northwest Association for Biomedical Research (NWBAR) Expo. The NWBAR encourages students to demonstrate their knowledge of the disciplines of biotechnology and biomedicine in creative ways. We are expecting 300-350 high school students from 20 regional schools to come to our campus with their presentations. Their activities will mostly take place in the PUB (9000) and Theater (1600) buildings.
Buses will start arriving with students outside the 1000 building at 7:15 a.m., and the students will be on campus until 2 p.m. Judges, parents, and teachers may utilize some of our parking spaces. The cafeteria will be open while the displays are up in the main dining room. Eating tables will be scattered throughout the building for this one-day event. Please welcome these future scientists to our campus! If you have any questions, please contact Amy Stapleton, astaplet@shoreline.edu.
