Shoreline featured in a national magazine

Nationally recognized for excellence in international education, Shoreline Community College has been highlighted in the pages of International Educator magazine’s two most recent issues.

International Educator is the flagship magazine of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and is widely read throughout the international education community in the U.S. and around the world.

In the most recent issue, a story on faculty-led study abroad programs opens with a discussion of Shoreline Psychology faculty member Bob Thompson’s long-running Jamaica study abroad program and the benefits to both students and faculty that such programs offer. Cory Anthony, who manages the study abroad programs at Shoreline Community College, is also quoted in the article.

A story on strategic enrollment management and outreach to prospective international students in the issue before that extensively quotes Samira Pardanani, Executive Director for International Education, discussing the complexities of outreach strategy. The story also features a photo of a group of International Peer Mentors, Shoreline students who work to welcome international students and to create and hold events for all Shoreline students.
