January Pause in On-Campus Attendance

Dear Colleague,

As the Governor extends current statewide COVID-19 restrictions, the College will observe a two-week pause on any in-person attendance at the start of winter quarter (in addition to following our 14-day out-of-state travel quarantine procedure), to help reduce the spread of the virus in our local community.

This means students and employees who are authorized to come to campus for limited in-person activities will instead learn and work from home January 4-18, 2021.

Anyone who is an exception to this rule will be individually notified, and students living on campus will continue to follow distancing protocols in the residence hall. Our contactless curbside pick-up/drop-off service will continue at the start of winter quarter for equipment and materials.

The College is fortunate to have had few reported positive cases of COVID-19 on campus. Please remember to use the confidential COVID-19 Exposure Form if you need to report any possible exposure. If we know a student or employee who has been on campus tests positive, we follow a contact tracing protocol to assess and notify individuals regarding potential exposure risk.

As fall quarter comes to a close, I hope you will consider the many creative and joyous ways to celebrate the winter holidays safely. It will take all of us to help reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in our communities. Please continue to observe guidance about wearing masks, practicing frequent handwashing, and minimizing travel or in-person contact with anyone outside of your household.

With best wishes for a healthy and happy holiday season,

Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
President
