Vaccination Leave with Pay

Greetings,

As we move through the State’s schedule of COVID-19 vaccination phases, the College continues to look for opportunities to advance appropriate public health policy, remove barriers, and encourage employees to receive the COVID- 19 vaccine. With this in mind, supervisors should work with their staff to support leave to receive the vaccination wherever possible while still meeting required business functions for each area.

In addition, please consider this confirmation that employees are authorized to take a reasonable amount of paid release time within their regular work schedule to travel to and receive each dose of the COVID-19 vaccination. Employees authorized for release time to receive the COVID-19 vaccination shall experience no loss in pay and are not required to use accrued leave for the leave taken. For those reporting leave in TLR, please use Miscellaneous Leave Code “I”, provide a comment indicating “leave for vaccine”, and submit documentation of the vaccination appointment to scchr@shoreline.edu.

This guidance is in effect today forward for any employee eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccination. Questions regarding the information above can be directed to scchr@shoreline.edu at any time.
