Happy 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!
July 26, 2021 marks 31 years since the ADA, now the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) was signed.
This historical piece of civil rights legislation made it possible for many people to receive accommodations in colleges like Shoreline, to be accommodated at work and to flourish in their careers, and to have access to many places where they otherwise may have hit barriers. The ADAAA is a significant example of diversity, equity, and inclusion, proving that this individuals with disabilities, a large population of our community, can have access as they choose.
