Happy ADA Anniversary!

Happy 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)!

July 26, 2021 marks 31 years since the ADA, now the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA) was signed.
This historical piece of civil rights legislation made it possible for many people to receive accommodations in colleges like Shoreline, to be accommodated at work and to flourish in their careers, and to have access to many places where they otherwise may have hit barriers. The ADAAA is a significant example of diversity, equity, and inclusion, proving that this individuals with disabilities, a large population of our community, can have access as they choose.

If any student feels that they many benefit from reasonable accommodations or modifications to assist them in being successful in their college career, they may reach out to Student Accessibility Services at sas@shoreline.edu. Employees who believe they may benefit from reasonable accommodations may contact Human Resources at scchr@shoreline.edu.
