Shelter in Place is an exhibition of creative works by Shoreline students and faculty made in response to the unfolding crises following the governor’s shelter-in-place orders in early 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This exhibit illustrates how art and media can serve as a pedagogical tool for providing purpose and healing during times of crises, particularly in response to the Covid pandemic and shifting socio-political climates surrounding racial injustice. Furthermore, this exhibit is intended to honor and recognize the obstacles Shoreline students had to overcome during this challenging period and to celebrate their achievements.
