We’re excited to announce that, thanks to a new partnership between Shoreline College and King County Metro, we are offering eligible students a fully subsidized ORCA card during the 2026 – 2027 academic year.
ORCA is a regional transit pass that provides access to a variety of transportation services, including King County Metro, Sound Transit, Light Rail, and more!
To qualify for the subsidized ORCA card, students must meet one of the following requirements:
- Must be enrolled in one or more credit classes at Shoreline College (including online courses) OR
- Must be a student enrolled in ELL, ABE, CECO, pre-college/college-readiness programs, career/workforce training, vocational programs, apprenticeship, or other programs/classes that are working towards a degree or certificate.
Students who are not eligible:
- Continuing education students, even those in a vocational program.
- F1 and F2, J1, M1 visa holders (due to federal compliance laws). International students are eligible for a partially subsidized ORCA Card sponsored by student Sustainable Commuter Options Fee (SCOF) funds.
Beginning Sept. 23, eligible students can pick up a card at the Cashier’s Office (5000 Building) or the Benefits Hub (9000 Building).
