Remember to attest before May 15

To Employees receiving PEBB benefits:

Remember to Attest to the Premium Surcharges before May 15

May 15 is approaching quickly and we encourage everyone who has not attested yet to not to wait until the last minute. There are two ways that you can attest, you may:

  • Attest online by going to My Account on the PEBB website (www.hca.wa.gov/pebb). If you have not already registered, you will need to create a user name and password, or
  • Call the toll-free number (1-855-635-8380) to request a paper attestation form. Please allow up to seven days to receive the forms. Allow enough time to receive, complete and submit the form. Your completed paper attestation form must be postmarked by May 15. Please remember to sign your attestation form before submitting the form for processing.

The SmartHealth Wellness Incentive attestation period runs until June 30. There is still plenty of time to earn the wellness incentive.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions or need help with this.

Thanks,

Ellen Pincus

More information about transition from Tegrity Lecture Capture System to Panopto

eLearning Faculty:

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is still negotiating a contract with Panopto, but it is anticipated to be complete soon.  The SBCTC just released a new webpage on Panopto with a timeline for the state’s transition off of Tegrity.  Of note:

*May 8th: all Tegrity videos recorded before May 8th will be migrated automatically to Panopto.  Videos recorded after May 8th will need to be downloaded by faculty and imported into Panopto (training will be provided).

*Between now and May 8th, please go through your Tegrity videos and delete unneeded ones.  This will reduce the amount of data that need to be moved to Panopto.

*Tegrity will be unavailable after June 30th, 2014.

Finally, thanks for your patience on this.  We will continue to share information as soon as it becomes available to us from the SBCTC.

All campus meeting changed to May 9

Dear Campus Community,

I am very pleased to be back from “travel status.”  The trip to Korea, China and Cambodia was incredibly successful and allowed me and other SCC personnel to reconnect and re-engage with longtime and new College partners, as well as, establish new relationships with many institutions.  I have been unfortunately a bit under the weather since returning, but am on the mend and looking forward to returning to campus at the end of this week.

In order to provide as comprehensive a Spring All Campus Meeting as possible, the All Campus Meeting originally scheduled for this Friday – May 2 (from 12:30 – 2 p.m.), will be postponed to Friday, May 9, 2014 (from 12:30 – 2 p.m.).

Spring All Campus Meeting topics:

  • President’s Message (including Presidential Transition; 2014 – 2015 Budget & Strategic Action Plans – Organizational Impacts of Transition)
  • The Future of the Virtual College
  • State of the College: 2013-14 Year-End Projections

Thank you so much for your support, energy and commitment to our students, and to our work.
