Intranet Homepage Updated

Our old friend, the intranet homepage, has received minor changes. The last time the page changed was September of 2013!  Here’s what happened:

  • Updated the Safety & Security section
  • Added a new “Emergency Preparedness” section
  • Removed expired items like “Lift ‘n Shift” and “Blackboard”
  • Removed items from the bullet points list that already appear as icons above or in the top navigation (e.g. “forms” and “college calendar”)
  • Removed items unrelated to the intranet
  • Removed links to defunct pages
  • Updated a couple names

For comparison, here is a screenshot of the old version. Click it to enlarge it.

Intranet HomepageAs a reminder, if there is ever something you cannot find, just type it in the search box at the top right of any web page and what you need will more than likely appear.

Employees receiving PEBB benefits

Get Ready for PEBB’s Premium Surcharges and Wellness Incentive

On February 28, the PEBB Program mailed the first of two letters to benefits-eligible employees about the upcoming premium surcharges and wellness incentive attestation period that begins April 1.

The letter offers suggestions on what you can do now to prepare for the attestation period:

  • Register as a New User on My Account on the PEBB website, if you haven’t done so. On October 1, 2013, My Account changed to include a new level of security, which requires subscribers to create a user name and password.  Starting April 1, you will be able to use My Account to attest to the premium surcharges and wellness incentive. See the How do I register? link.
  • Choose a primary care provider and complete your PEBB medical plan’s health assessment. To find out how to do these, see the wellness incentive page.
  • If your spouse or domestic partner is enrolled on your PEBB medical coverage and eligible for other employer-sponsored medical coverage but chose not to enroll, find out whether you need to gather information about it. Go to the online Spousal Plan Questionnaire to answer the five preliminary questions.

Have questions? Visit the frequently asked questions page to find more information about the premium surcharges and the wellness incentive. These FAQs will be updated frequently, so be sure to check back for new FAQs. Benefits-eligible employees will also receive a follow-up letter in late March with more details on how to respond to the premium surcharges and wellness incentive starting April 1.

A friendly reminder

Hello all! Just a reminder, we created a “DAAG” for students called Shoreline Today. Feel free to explore it!

It is an additional way to reach out to students and for them to receive information, add information and get an idea of what is going on around campus. If there are messages, events or information you would like to get out, please feel free to submit it to us!

The Public Information Office and the Student Leadership Center are collaborating on running the site. We want to create a place for students to engage and be engaged. It includes calendars, social media, links to important contacts on campus and more.
