Here is a look at what is happening this weekend through to Monday!

Saturday, Jan. 4:

For all of those who want to be Indiana Jones for a day, or those that just love learning, check out archeology day at the Burke Museum on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Men’s and women’s basketball takes on Everett! Women’s game starts at 2 p.m. and men’s starts at 4. #GoDolphins!

Monday, Jan. 6:

Classes begin! Hooray! We missed you all so much and can’t wait to begin again!

Archeology day!

For all of those who want to be Indiana Jones for a day, or those that just love learning, check out archeology day at the Burke Museum on Saturday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Join the Burke Museum for a special, one day-only annual event of activities that explore the past and present, including archaeology exhibits, hands-on activities, and conversations with specialists. Here are a few things you will be able to do:

• Examine ancient Peruvian textiles from the Burke’s archaeology collection

• Get close to unique artifacts found in our very own Puget Sound region

• Try your hand at the ancient hunting skill of atlatl throwing

• Take part in hands-on archaeology themed crafts

• Talk with Roman reenactors about what life was like for warriors in ancient Rome

• Talk about shipwrecks in Lake Union with The Center for Wooden Boats

• Discover how to make projectile points and archaeology-themed crafts

It is that time once again

2014 catsThe college will be closed once more during the winter break on Jan. 1. To celebrate, enjoy the cover of a 2014 calendar featuring just the most adorable kitten.

Shoreline will resume normal operation hours Jan. 2. Enjoy the holiday!

Campus is closed for the holiday. Happy New Year!

Campus will re-open with normal hours.

Changes to the bookstore policy on returns

There has been a change to the returns policy at the bookstore. Here is the policy posted on the bookstore website.

A reminder that this doesn’t change book buy back procedures, only returns.

The new policy adds that books will only be refunded entirely within five days of the start of the quarter, and 50% within 10. The refund will be via a gift card to the bookstore, or in cash (minus a 15% restocking fee).
