New Mac OS X Mavericks…
OS X Mavericks, which is version 10.9, was released by Apple on October 22, 2013 and is now available as a free download from the Mac App Store. You will need an Apple ID for this download. The operating system has hundreds of new features & several new technologies, such as App Nap & Compressed Memory – to name a few. It is an easy upgrade from OS X 10.6.8 or later versions. It has been reported to be compatible with most software applications such as Office for Mac 2011 and Adobe Creative Suite versions, but some minor issues are arising with other applications. Tegrity update
Access to the Tegrity recordings you made while using Blackboard will not go away when our Blackboard classrooms are gone; the Tegrity sessions are located outside of Blackboard on a separate Tegrity server: shoreline.tegrity.com. To access, go to shoreline.tegrity.com and enter your Blackboard username and password; Blackboard username is first letter of first name + first 4 letters of last name + last 4 numbers of SID and password is last 5 numbers of SID. Example: jsmit4567.
The Tegrity recordings you made while using Blackboard will be combined in your Canvas classrooms with the Tegrity recordings you have been making while using Canvas. This process is expected to be complete by November 15, 2013. Stay tuned for updates.
