Margin To Center programming begins Tues., April 11 with the film “Do Not Resist”

Join Student Life as they kick off their “From Margin to Center” program series with a film screening of “Do Not Resist,” facilitated by Dr. Eric Hamako. We will be screening the film in the PUB 9208 from 12:30-2 p.m. on Tues., April 11.

Join Dr. Hamako as he facilitates a screening of “Do Not Resist,” a film that offers a stunning look at the current state of policing in America and a glimpse into the future. This film is an urgent and powerful exploration of the rapid militarization of the police in the United States.

Dr. Eric Hamako has been teaching at Shoreline’s Multicultural Studies Program in Equity & Social Justice in 2014. He completed his doctorate in Social Justice Education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and worked as the Program Coordinator for Institutional Diversity & Equity at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. Dr. Hamako particularly enjoys bringing a multi-issue social justice analysis to pop culture like Harry Potter, zombies, and criminal procedural TV shows.
