Campus Updates 01/13/22

Hi Campus Community,

Here are this week’s updates!
 RETURN TO CAMPUS/COVID-19

  • Winter 2022 classes continue as planned: in-person, hybrid, and online.
  • Executive Team (ET) is closely monitoring the changing conditions of the pandemic, including the number of COVID-19 exposure reports submitted each day by students, staff, and faculty. Here are the latest numbers:
COVID Exposure Report Table

During this time period, 25 positive cases have been identified. Most of those cases occurred off-campus.

  • 90% of in-person or on-campus students have attested to their vaccination status for winter quarter.
  • Stay home if you’re sick. If you suspect having been exposed to someone with COVID-19, are experiencing symptoms, or have tested positive, fill out a COVID-19 exposure report.  For your convenience, here are a few locations offering testing:

If you are otherwise healthy with mild symptoms and cannot find testing availability, you should presume that you have COVID-19 and self-isolate according to current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines

  • KN-95 masks have been ordered for front-line staff and for faculty who are teaching in-person and will be distributed as soon as they arrive, hopefully early next week.
  • The vaccine clinic is now in the Quiet Dining Room in the PUB. Walk-ins are welcome; just tell them you are a college employee.  Boosters for ages 12-15 are not available at this time. The public should make an appointment for the Shoreline site.
  • The Parent-Child Center closed temporarily. Updates on reopening will be provided directly to parents with enrolled children as soon as information is available.
  • Update building signage to tell students you are open. Use this branded template.
  • Have questions? Email covidsupervisor@shoreline.edu or call 206-495-7744 during regular College operating hours.
  • Check the COVID-19 Updates site for the latest information.

Please ensure that tests are uploaded to AIM a minimum of two business days before the exam date.
If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact SAS via email at sas@shoreline.edu, or call 206-546-4545. Thank you and Happy New Year!
