COVID-19 emergency aid for students now available

The following message was shared with students this week. Please encourage current students to apply for this funding now if they are experiencing challenges due to COVID-19 this quarter. You’ll find all the details on the new COVID-19 Emergency Funds web page.

Dear Student,

We know COVID-19 and the current “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order directly impacts you and your loved ones. You have had to shift to a different way of learning, and many of you are experiencing significant losses to support while juggling work with providing family caregiving and teaching at home in a new way. We admire your resilience and are here to help.

If you’re experiencing financial challenges that may prevent you from being successful this quarter, we are here for you with special funding, support, and resources. The college received funding for students to offset increased expenses related to the disruption of college operations due to the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic. There is a limited amount of CARES Act grant funding available this quarter, and we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. More funding will be available starting fall 2020-spring 2021.

Apply for COVID-19 Emergency Funding:

  • Apply now for emergency COVID-19 funding to help you pay for spring quarter tuition, fees, food, housing, technology, healthcare, or childcare expenses.
  • The priority deadline to apply is Friday, May 8, but funds will continue to be distributed until they run out.
  • The College did not drop students for non-payment of tuition this quarter. If you have been attending classes, we are working with you to keep you in your classes.
