The Shoreline Community College Foundation’s Board of Directors would like to invite you to our 19th Annual Student Success Breakfast on Thurs., Nov. 3 from 7-8:30 a.m. This event helps students in need gain access to a quality education. Your donations help students stay in school with financial emergencies and also support scholarships to students with financial need. Your support helps to make sure all students have the opportunity to fulfill their educational goals.

Tickets are $50 per person, or purchase a table sponsorship for $500 (includes tickets for 8 and signage on the table).

The breakfast will be held in the PUB (9000 bldg) Main Dining Room.

NaNoWriMo Kick-Off Party on campus Mon., Oct. 31

November is national novel writing month ( NaNoWriMo) and this year The Kick Off Party for the entire Seattle area is going to be held here on campus Mon., Oct. 31 (on Halloween) from 10:30 p.m. – 1 a.m. in the 1500 building. It’s free to participate in NaNoWriMo and anyone can join, just go here to sign up.   

The Ray Howard library is hosting Write In Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on every Wednesday throughout the month of November. Write-ins offer a space for writers to write in a supportive environment and connect to others in the writing community.

Please join us for an artist’s reception with Nicholas Sironka on Fri., Oct. 21 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Sironka’s exhibit, The Strength of a Woman, is currently on display in the Admin Bldg. (#1000) art gallery (lobby) through Oct. 28.

Nicholas Sironka, a former Fulbright scholar, was born in Narok, in the Rift Valley province of Kenya. Through his artwork, Sironka is preserving the wisdom and the knowledge of Maasai traditions. Sironka is determined to portray his people’s culture truthfully, with dignity and beauty.

Shoreline Coop Preschool 29th Annual Halloween Carnival and Silent Auction, Sat. Oct. 22

Join us for the 29th Annual Halloween Carnival and Silent Auction this weekend on campus! Games and entertainment for ages 1 to 8 and costumes are encouraged!
Sat., Oct. 22 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

All proceeds benefit Shoreline Cooperative Preschool, which is supported by Shoreline Community College’s Parent Coop Preschool Education program.
