Winter Quarter grade rosters are available on Instructor Briefcase at https://www.shoreline.edu/wts/ibc/. Contact the Payroll Office at 546-4515 if you haven’t been assigned a PIN or need help retrieving yours.

Three faculty members receive tenure, 17 move forward

Tenure was approved for three Shoreline Community College faculty members on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 and the tenure process renewed for another 17 individuals.

In a unanimous vote by the Board of Trustees, tenure was approved for:

  • Corinne (Corki) Budnick, Nursing
  • Caroline Conley, Librarian – Information Literacy
  • James Elenteny, Music Technology

All three were third-year faculty candidates.

The trustees also voted unanimously to renew tenure-track contracts for 11 first-year and six second-year tenure-track faculty candidates.

The first-year candidates are:

  • Mary Burroughs, Nursing
  • Gail Dalton, Business technology
  • Jessica Gibson, ESL
  • Eric Hamako, Multicultural studies
  • Gwynith Hoffmann-Robinson, Counseling
  • Sasha Malinsky, Mathematics

  • Trena Redman, Nursing
  • Maya Smorodinsky, English
  • Ailsa Yamamoto, Business Administration

The second-year candidates are:

Faculty All-Federation Meeting Mon., March 16

The faculty Federation (SCCFT Local 1950) will hold its Winter quarter All-Federation meeting on Monday, March 16, from 3-4 p.m. in Room 1102. The main agenda item will be planning for 2015-16 collective bargaining, including brainstorming faculty negotiations issues. All faculty are encouraged to attend this one-hour meeting to learn about the first steps in the negotiations process that will get underway during Spring quarter. Federation membership forms will be available for faculty who have not yet signed their union forms.

Commencement Speaker Nomination Deadline Approaching!

The deadline for nominating an outstanding student or faculty member to speak at commencement is coming up! If you know of the perfect candidate for this event, you have until Monday, March 2, 2015 to submit your nomination by filling out and submitting the Speaker Nomination form. Speakers will be selected based on their accomplishments and potential to deliver meaningful, thought-provoking messages to graduates and guests.

Whether it’s the culmination of years of effort or the beginning of an educational journey, this is our time to celebrate our students’ accomplishments and our work together as a campus community. Let’s send the students off in style!

Please submit completed forms by Monday, March 2, 2015. Forms can be turned in to Nancy Marshall (Room 5202A, FOSS Building), emailed to nmarshall@shoreline.edu or put in intercampus mail. Thank you!
