Introducing the 2019 Event Series – (in)visibility

The Shoreline Community College Event Series Advisory Group is forming an event series comprised of new and existing on-campus events that will take place Winter and Spring 2019.

The goal of this project is to showcase the varied programs and events that take place at Shoreline and increase awareness of on-campus opportunities. By framing events under one common theme, we hope to find connections across disciplines/activities and encourage increased collaboration among the College Community as well as the greater Shoreline Community.

This is an exciting new project and we want you to be a part of it! Are you currently planning an event? Have an idea for something you would like to see on campus? Let us know! We are currently accepting submissions for events to be in the series – event ideas, events in development, and planned events are welcome. Events can be submitted via our online form.

December 10 is the deadline to submit Winter Quarter events if you would like your event to be considered for inclusion in the Event Series Advisory Group’s print publications/marketing. Anything submitted and accepted after that date will be included in the Advisory Group’s plans for web-based marketing.

We understand this is a busy time on campus, and appreciate your events and ideas in advance!

This scholarship is also helping my mental and emotional health. Thank you for this award and for your kind assistance in furthering my dreams”. –Andrew Pratt, Chemical Engineering student

Message from President Roberts: Gratitude

Dear Colleague,

This time of year can be a special opportunity for each of us to acknowledge our gratitude for the many people whose contributions, big and small, enrich our lives.

I would like to share how grateful I am for our caring community of students, faculty, and staff who make this college such an engaging and supportive place for academic study and personal growth. Each of you have a meaningful impact on others, and together, our actions shape the success of the diverse students and communities we serve.

I offer my good wishes to all for a happy and peaceful weekend.

Gratefully,
Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
