President Roberts Returns to the College

Dear Colleague,

I am pleased to let you know that I have returned from my planned medical leave this summer. I would like to deeply thank Alison Stevens and Stuart Trippel for taking on the roles of Acting President throughout my leave, as well as to all employees for keeping up your exceptional work this summer preparing for a strong start to our fall quarter.

I’m so grateful for your cards and notes of support during my recovery. I’ve had a firsthand experience of the deep care you give our students and to each other; it’s truly powerful and life changing!

I look forward to returning to the College energized to work alongside you in support of our students.

With warm regards,
Cheryl Roberts, Ed.D.
President

Annual fire alarm inspection week of August 27-31

Dear Colleague,

Safety & Security and Johnson Controls will be conducting a mandated annual fire alarm testing throughout the entire week of August 27-31.

On Fri., Aug. 31, starting at 8 a.m., the fire alarm inspection team will be going building to building to activate each individual fire alarm to inspect the horn signals and strobes. The alarm sound activation will only last a short few seconds and, once the technician is able to inspect the entire building, they will then shut off the alarm and return the system back to normal mode.

If you have any questions about the fire alarm testing, please contact Safety & Security at X4633. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Edwin
