eLearning Faculty:
The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is still negotiating a contract with Panopto, but it is anticipated to be complete soon. The SBCTC just released a new webpage on Panopto with a timeline for the state’s transition off of Tegrity. Of note:
*May 8th: all Tegrity videos recorded before May 8th will be migrated automatically to Panopto. Videos recorded after May 8th will need to be downloaded by faculty and imported into Panopto (training will be provided).
*Between now and May 8th, please go through your Tegrity videos and delete unneeded ones. This will reduce the amount of data that need to be moved to Panopto.
*Tegrity will be unavailable after June 30th, 2014.
Finally, thanks for your patience on this. We will continue to share information as soon as it becomes available to us from the SBCTC.

All campus meeting changed to May 9
Dear Campus Community,
I am very pleased to be back from “travel status.” The trip to Korea, China and Cambodia was incredibly successful and allowed me and other SCC personnel to reconnect and re-engage with longtime and new College partners, as well as, establish new relationships with many institutions. I have been unfortunately a bit under the weather since returning, but am on the mend and looking forward to returning to campus at the end of this week.
In order to provide as comprehensive a Spring All Campus Meeting as possible, the All Campus Meeting originally scheduled for this Friday – May 2 (from 12:30 – 2 p.m.), will be postponed to Friday, May 9, 2014 (from 12:30 – 2 p.m.).

Gov. Jay Inslee came to Shoreline Community College to sign an executive order intended to reduce carbon pollution in Washington and push for clean energy technologies.
At an April 29, 2014 press conference in the Professional Automotive Training Center, Inslee signed an executive order to establish the Carbon Emissions Reduction Taskforce composed of 21 leaders from business, labor, health and public interest organizations. The group will provide recommendations to the governor on design and implementation of a market-based carbon pollution program.
