Notice of Virtual Special Meeting: Friday, May 28, 2021

The Shoreline Community College Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Friday, May 28, 2021 beginning at 3:30 PM. The purpose of the May 28 special meeting is to evaluate the qualifications of an applicant for public employment or to review the performance of a public employee; and action: potential appointment of an acting president.

The special meeting will take place in a virtual space to comply with government restrictions on public gathering due to COVID-19 health risks. The May 28, 2021 special meeting will:
1. Commence in open session (“open to the public”); 2. Convene in executive session (“closed to the public”) after the Communication from the Public segment; and 3. Reconvene in open session (“open to the public”) for the action item.

All Board of Trustees meetings include opportunity for public comment. Due to the continual and changing information related to COVID-19, the May 28 special meeting will be held virtually. Public comment(s) during the May 28 Communication from the Public segment will be presented to the Board verbally.

• For attendees connecting online: Please sign up to provide a public comment via the Chat function in Zoom between 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM on May 28.
• For attendees connecting by telephone: Please sign up to provide a public comment between 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM on May 28 by: 1. The Board Chair will call upon each speaker signed up to provide public comment.

The total public comment period at the May 28 meeting will be no more than six (6) minutes with up to two (2) minutes allotted per speaker. Adjustments to the two (2) minute allotment will be made if more than three (3) individuals sign up to speak.
