Shoreline Community College Board of Trustees Appoints New Acting President

At a special meeting on May 28, 2021, the Shoreline Community College Board of Trustees appointed a new Acting President to lead the College, following President Roberts’ retirement as of June 30.

Effective July 1 through December 31, 2021, Phillip King, Vice President for Student Learning, Equity & Success, will serve as Acting President of Shoreline Community College, while the Board initiates a hiring search process for an interim President.

The Board is currently reviewing options for how it will conduct an interim and a permanent presidential search and solicit input from the campus community, with the expectation that a permanent president will be in place by July 1, 2022.

In the coming weeks, an Acting Vice President for Student Learning, Equity & Success will be named to fill Mr. King’s temporarily vacated role. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
