United Club Council meets April 2

The next United Club Council meeting will be Wednesday, April 2, in the PUB QUIET DINING ROOM from 12:30 – 2 p.m. Just as a reminder, the UCC meetings are mandatory and at least one member from your organization is required to be in attendance. Lack of representation from your organization will result in suspension of your organization’s account.

Also, Interim President Daryl Campbell will be attending this meeting, so you can prepare any questions to ask him.

Please contact Iryna Novachuk with any agenda items by Monday, 2 p.m. you would like to discuss during the meeting.

Brahms Fest

brahms festFred Lokken, SCC music department faculty member, is part of Brahms Fest, a concert on Saturday, March 29 at Meany Hall on the UW campus. It’s sure to be an exciting concert of all-Brahms music (including one of the greatest pieces in the classical repertoire) for orchestra, chorus (over 100 singers), and soloists. Tickets can be ordered ahead of time from the phone number listed, or at the door (more expensive!). It would be a great way to end your break and get inspired for spring quarter.

Board of Trustees special meeting

The Board will be holding a Special Meeting on Monday, March 31 in the central conference room in the 1000 building at 1 p.m. It will be a Training Session for its new Trustees related to the Board’s Governance Manual.

Highland Terrace students visit Visual Arts Center

IMG_4903The visual arts center hosted 6th graders from Highland Terrace for pottery lessons on March 25. Shoreline’s visual art department taught them a few pottery techniques and then let them make their own projects. This is a recent project that aims at engaging future students in our local community and bringing them to campus.
