More than 400 Japanese students were on campus

IMG_4654On Thursday, March 20, 2014, Shoreline Community Colleges hosted more than 400 students and teachers from Japan, officials from the Japanese Consulate in Seattle and the Laurasian Foundation. The visit was part of the Kakehashi Project, A large-scale youth exchange program between the U.S. and Japan. The project is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan with the goal of enhancing international understanding of Japan and its strengths and attractions.

The students were given a tour of the campus, met with international education representatives and were treated to a dinner. They also were able to meet with Shoreline CC students that helped with the tours. A big thanks to everyone that helped make this possible!

New version of OmniUpdate coming Spring Quarter

Change is afoot…

Our website content management system, OmniUpdate (OU), has come out with a new version of its software called Version 10. This new version will make things appear differently, but core functions will remain basically the same.

Getting Ready
Current users have been offered steps to take in preparation for the changeover. You can read about those in this email sent to our OU users.

No impact on the College Website
This change will have zero impact on the content or appearance of the college website. It will only effect those who have access to edit pages via OmniUpdate.

If you don’t currently edit or maintain any college web pages, but think maybe you should, please contact the Public Information Office.
