Please take a short survey on Dropout Detective pilot: Due June 21

Shoreline is piloting Dropout Detective in online and hybrid classes. Dropout Detective integrates into Canvas and helps faculty and Success Coaches, at a glance, identify and support at-risk students.

The pilot project started Fall 2016. The College is evaluating whether to renew the license, due to expire September 1, 2017. Your input will help inform this decision.

Please respond to this quick 3-question survey by Wed., June 21 to give your feedback.

Thank you in advance for your time and participation!

Student Music Recitals Fri., June 9

Take a break and support our talented music students by checking out one of several student recitals this Fri., June 9.

Small Ensemble Recital, 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Music Building 800, Room 818
The Small Ensemble Recital is considered to be a “talent showcase” for our dedicated music students at Shoreline Community College. This is their time to shine in the spotlight and to have an opportunity to perform in front of their peers. Students are chosen by their instructors to perform at the recitals with criteria requiring students to have been involved in a music ensemble throughout the quarter. This is an invaluable experience for our students to build confidence musically through focused preparation, and the opportunity to perform in front of an audience helps them develop their stage presence. Everyone is welcome to attend in support of our student performers.

Music Technology Portfolio Review, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Music Building 800, Room 820
Please join us for our second annual Music Technology Portfolio Review. There are approximately 45 graduates total from Digital Audio Engineering, Electronic/MIDI Music Production, Merchandising, and Performance programs.

Please come and celebrate the upcoming graduates for their hard work. This presentation is free and open to the public. Please feel free to invite others, especially those who may be curious about Music Technology.

Piano Juries, 2:30-4:30 p.m.
Music Building 800, Room 818
Piano students taking private instruction lessons perform a solo for the music faculty and their musical peers as a final exam. The entire campus community and Shoreline community members are invited to attend this performance.
