Weekly Campus Updates

Dear Shoreline Campus Community:

Return to Campus/COVID-19 Communications

·         The College is now accepting requests to hold non-instructional activities (on- or off-campus), such as a student life or department-sponsored events, through June 17, 2022.  Please complete the Campus Activities Request Form.

·         Anyone who is sick and showing symptoms of COVID, without another known cause, should fill out a COVID-19 Exposure Report form. The College will follow up and provide guidance to the sick person on what to do next. Please do not require or ask a student or employee to follow up directly with you or to provide a COVID-19 test result. If you are a faculty member and would like to fill out a COVID-19 Exposure Report form regarding a sick student, please feel free to do so.  More staff have been hired to help with contact tracing.

·         Beginning winter quarter 2022, all classified staff will be required to work on-campus a minimum of 3 days per week (joining admin/exempt staff). You will need to work with your supervisor to finalize your schedule by November 19, 2021.  Exceptions to this process shall be related to medical concerns and will be vetted by HR. Medical exemption requests should be submitted to Human Resources as soon as possible: hr@shoreline.edu .

·         Please check the COVID-19 Updates page for employees for more details.

COVID-19 Vaccinations for Shoreline Children

The College continues to partner with Shoreline Fire and Shoreline School District. This weekend we will host a vaccination clinic for children.  And they already have 1600 appointments that have been reserved across (2) days on 11/6 and 11/7 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. to provide vaccinations to children ages 5 to 11.  As you can see the appointments are already booked for this weekend’s event.

There will be directional signage and staff on hand to manage the space and/or coordinate other services.  Security and facilities will be available as needed as well. There may be press at this event and our UW partners will manage the press.  Please contact Ann Garnsey-Harter for more information about the event.
