Payments and Support

The College is aware that some students are having issues with making tuition payments, so we have delayed the drop for non-payment process until later in the spring quarter – this will most likely occur in early May 2022.

If you have not yet paid your tuition, please review the following information for next steps.

We strongly encourage you to pay online with ctcLink. You can also register for a payment plan with Nelnet through April 26.

If the online system does not work, please reach out to us for assistance. The student financials office is open Monday – Thursday, 9:00am – 4:30pm PDT in FOSS 5000. You can also contact them at 206-546-7850 or get support online.

Additionally, the College will continue to offer federal COVID-19 funds and other emergency aid funds to students who are experiencing emergencies or need assistance to pay tuition and fees. Please contact Shoreline Financial Aid at 206-705-8722 or emergencyaid@shoreline.edu to learn more about these opportunities.

We are here to support you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Commencement 2022 June 18, 2022

Dear Campus Community,

As the weather warms up and we usher in a new quarter, I wanted to take a few minutes to share some exciting news about this year’s Shoreline Commencement ceremony. As a campus community, we recognize Shoreline Commencement as the culmination of years of demanding work and tireless effort that our students have invested towards achieving their dreams, and we are fortunate to be able to celebrate this achievement with them. Over the last two years, this has looked quite different as we have had to find alternative formats to recognize our students’ accomplishments. With the recent decline in Covid-19 cases in our area and the College’s high rate of vaccination among both employees and students, we felt prepared to explore options to bring everyone back together again.

Thank you to those of you who participated in last quarter’s Shoreline Commencement survey. We appreciated hearing your thoughts about the three proposed options being considered for this year’s event. Based on a variety of factors including survey responses, accessibility, availability, and cost-effectiveness, I have approved the Shoreline Commencement committee’s recommendation to hold two (2) in-person, indoor ceremonies on campus in our gym.

The Shoreline Commencement ceremonies will take place on Saturday, June 18, 2022, with the first ceremony beginning at 10am and the second beginning at 2pm. The dual ceremonies will allow for lower occupancy in the gym and spaced seating to increase attendees’ comfort. Masks will be optional for those in attendance. The ceremony will also be live streamed for those who are unable to attend.

As you can imagine, the Shoreline Commencement is a considerable undertaking and help is needed to ensure its success. Faculty and staff are encouraged to volunteer in a variety of different capacities, including set-up/clean-up, ushers/line marshals, and venue monitors. For more information about these roles and to sign-up, please review the volunteer sign-up. Supervisors are encouraged to support staff requests (where viable) to potentially shift work schedules that week to support Shoreline Commencement.

Additionally, we are currently accepting nominations for the Shoreline Student Service Award and student & faculty speakers. If there is someone that you would like to recognize, please fill out this form by May 6, 2022.

More information about the ceremonies will be released in the coming weeks and will be updated on the Shoreline Commencement website. If there are any questions about the event, please direct them to the Shoreline Commencement committee at commencement@shoreline.edu.

I hope that you will join me for this exciting event as we honor the Shoreline Community College’s Class of 2022. I look forward to seeing you throughout this quarter, and at this year’s in-person Shoreline Commencement events on June 18th

Sincerely,

Steve Hanson
