Board of Trustees Special Meeting (Winter Retreat) – January 5, 2018

The Board is holding a Special Meeting (the Board’s Winter Retreat) on Friday, January 5, 2018 beginning at 8:30 A.M.

This Special Meeting will take place in room 301 at Shoreline City Hall (17500 Midvale Avenue North; Shoreline, WA 98133-4905).

Free screening of “Two Pictures” Mon., Jan. 8

Seattleite Films presents a cast, crew, and friends screening of “Two Pictures”. The screening will be held in the main campus theater (1600 bldg) on Mon., Jan. 8 at 7:30pm.

Two Pictures is an independent film shot in Seattle that follows two strangers – a hard-working nurse and a self-destructive shipyard worker – who find their lives connected by an act of heroism.

Parts of the film were shot on the Shoreline Community College campus, and college staff and students greatly contributed to the production.

Winter Quarter ISOP Jan. 2-6

International Student Orientation Program (ISOP) for winter quarter 2018 will be happening in various locations around campus Jan. 2-8. Please welcome our new students.

Free parking on campus Jan. 2 – 8

To facilitate the needs of students and their families in preparation for the start of winter quarter, parking on campus will be free Jan. 2 – 8. No fees are required to park Jan. 2 – 8, and no citations will be issued for not paying parking fees. We ask that visitors to campus do still park in the appropriate parking areas during this period of free parking. If you know any students who still need to register for classes, let them know to take advantage of the free parking and come on down to campus to get registered!

Safety & Security will post signage on the parking machines on Free Parking Days.

Winter break 2017 campus closure

Shoreline Community College will be closed Mon., Dec. 25 – Mon., Jan. 1 in observance of the winter holiday break. All offices on campus will be closed, and no services will be available to students or the public during this period.

Please note the campus will continue to be patrolled during the closure by College Safety & Security personnel. A handful of specific employees may be on campus completing assigned essential work. This week is meant for the college to be closed and only those employees working on pre-approved essential projects are to be on campus during this closure.

The college will reopen on Tues., Jan. 2.

Winter break schedule

  • Dec. 18-22: Campus open, no classes
  • Dec. 25-Jan. 1: Campus closed, no services 
  • Jan. 2: Campus services re-open  
  • Jan. 8: First day of winter quarter
