Einstein Middle School on campus Monday, March 19

8th Annual Einstein Middle School Campus Tour

390 (yes, 390!) 8th graders from our local middle school, along with 30 teachers and parents will experience our beautiful campus and programs during a tour on Monday morning at 9:15 a.m. They’re only here for an hour, so it’s a fun, quick whirlwind view of our College, followed by a visit to UW. The principal tells us that the teachers and students love this tour, even more than UW.

It’s amazing how many local high school students visit our campus throughout their elementary and middle school years (for Math Olympiad, STEM Festival, the Einstein trip), and then enroll here as college students.

Usually the Einstein visit happens during our Spring Break, but due to bus transportation issues, this falls upon our last day of instruction. Affected programs and departments have been notified about the visit.

Say hi to this crowd of 8th graders on Monday morning if you have an opportunity!  If you have questions, please contact Amy Stapleton (astaplet@shoreline.edu, ext. 7841).

Upcoming Microsoft Outlook and Office Groups change

How does this affect me?
In mid-March 2018, the Outlook Groups app will be removed from the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Microsoft Store. Current app users will still be able to use it between mid-March and May 1, 2018. The Outlook Groups app will then stop functioning for all users on May 1, 2018. Anyone who attempts to open it will be greeted with a message directing them to download the Outlook mobile app. Groups functionality is not affected in Outlook on the web, Outlook 2016, Outlook 2016 for Mac, or any other Office application.

What do I need to do to prepare for this change?
Users will be informed about the app’s retirement through in-app notifications.
